A contractor is supposed to remove the logs along the trails in the woodlot on Monday. It looks like they will only have to use road 4 (the trail nearest New maryland). I think they will come in at entrance 2 and go to the interection going into Lollipop. We've been asked to stay clear of the operation. It should only take one day. Once they've finished we should be able to fix it up.
It's unfortunate but we knew this was coming and UNB did quite a bit to try and get the work done before we starting using the trails.

Ski conditions this morning were excellent, especially on the Kingswood side. Get out and ski before the rain!
ReplyDeleteMonday: Lindsay Valley lighted loop was firm, fast, with great skate ski conditions. There is a classic track set.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that UNB went in at Kent and ripped up the Kent road and #4. We found it worthwhile to pole from the junction to #3 and ski the rest.
ReplyDeleteI made quite a few trips over it with the leveler drag and I think it made a nice difference. So get out at give it a go before the rain comes.

Is there still any oreo cookie skiing to be had anywhere around Fredericton or are we at the mercy of mother nature for snow?
ReplyDeleteNot sure what "oreo cookie skiing" is, but there is no skiing at all in Kingswood. Bare dirt everywhere.
